Job Description
Sun Auto Service seeks a General Service Technician to perform routine maintenance and light repairs in a busy, full-service automotive shop. In this role you'll handle oil and filter changes, fluid services, tire rotations, battery checks, and basic inspections while supporting brake and other minor repairs. You'll work with modern diagnostic tools, follow strict safety and quality standards, and keep work areas clean. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotations Assist with brake, suspension, battery, and other light repair services under supervision as needed Conduct basic inspections and document findings accurately in repair orders Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment safely to support accurate vehicle assessments Communicate clearly with service advisors and teammates on vehicle status and needed repairs Follow all safety, quality, and cleanliness standards in the shop Participate in ongoing training to grow technical and diagnostic skills Provide courteous, honest service that supports a positive customer experience Required Skills Automotive maintenance and repair Oil and filter change service Tire rotation, balancing, and inspection Brake service support Basic automotive diagnostics Use of hand and power tools Reading and interpreting repair orders Shop safety and OSHA awareness Automotive HVAC basics Vehicle inspection and documentation
