Job Description
1-Way Diesel Performance is looking for an experienced Diesel and/or Automotive Mechanic/Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone with strong hands-on mechanical experience who is dependable, motivated, and takes pride in quality work. Diesel experience is preferred, but you do not have to specialize in diesel. Experienced automotive technicians and mechanics with experience in related trades are encouraged to apply. Our shop works on a variety of vehicles and equipment, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and working in a fast-paced shop environment. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel and/or automotive vehicles Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs Troubleshoot engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, cooling, and other vehicle systems Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify mechanical issues Perform repairs according to shop and manufacturer specifications Inspect vehicles and identify additional needed repairs or maintenance Communicate repair needs, parts needs, and job progress with the shop Accurately document work performed Maintain a clean and safe work area Follow all shop procedures and safety requirements Experience with heavy-duty trucks, equipment, hydraulics, welding/fabrication, farm equipment, or other related mechanical work is a PLUS , but is not required for every applicant. Requirements Previous professional mechanic or technician experience Mechanical and troubleshooting skills Ability to diagnose and complete repairs accurately Experience using automotive/diesel diagnostic tools is preferred Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position Own tools are a plus Valid driver's license preferred Pay is based on experience, knowledge, and skill level. Experienced applicants may qualify for higher starting pay depending on their abilities and background.
