Job Description
Work independently, solve problems on the spot, and keep a fleet moving — with a company service vehicle and no shop to clock into. About Hermont Hermont is a Canadian fleet maintenance company expanding into Texas. We keep commercial delivery vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road for national last-mile delivery operations — handling preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and mobile repair so their fleets are ready to run every single day. San Antonio is one of our first Texas markets, with Austin close behind — so the people we bring on now get in at the ground floor of our U.S. growth, with room to grow as we do. The role Some of our hubs are spread across the San Antonio area, so we bring the shop to the vehicles. As a Mobile Technician, you'll drive a company-provided service vehicle to our hubs and perform maintenance and repairs on-site, overnight, so vans are ready for their morning routes. This role suits a self-starter who works well without someone looking over their shoulder. What you'll do Travel to assigned hubs in a company-provided, fully-equipped service vehicle Perform preventive maintenance, brakes, tires, diagnostics, and repairs on delivery vehicles on-site Diagnose issues in the field and get vehicles back in service quickly Decide what can be fixed on-site vs. sent to the shop for heavier work Document all work accurately and keep your service vehicle stocked and organized Represent Hermont professionally at every location What we're looking for 2+ years of vehicle repair experience Comfort and confidence working independently in the field A valid driver's license and a clean driving record (required — you'll be driving a company vehicle) Willingness to work overnight hours Your own basic hand tools (we supply specialty and diagnostic equipment) Strong diagnostic skills and good judgment about field vs. shop repairs Nice to have ASE certification(s) Prior mobile or field-service experience Electric vehicle (EV) experience (we provide high-voltage safety training) Experience with delivery, fleet, or high-volume vehicle maintenance Compensation & time off $24.00-$32.00/hour, based on experience + $3.00/hour overnight shift differential Company-provided service vehicle Paid time off and paid vacation Ground-floor role with a fast-growing company and room to advance Schedule Full-time, overnight / graveyard shift, field-based Weekend and holiday coverage as needed; our operation runs 24/7, 365 days a year We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
