Job Description

The Kyle Law Firm is a personal injury and criminal defense case law firm. We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and motivated candidate for a Case Manager position at our Law firm in the Pre-Litigation department. The candidate we are seeking for this position is organized, professional, responsible, capable of working with limited supervision and committed to helping us meet our clients' needs. In this position you will be responsible for new client intake and will coordinate all personal injury client information for attorney's money demand made to insurance carriers, and coordination of settlement, or transfer to litigation department. Responsibilities & Duties include: Call - interview potential new clients and complete Filevine intake whether case accepted or not. Open new cases in Filevine, including statute of limitations dates. Determine client's level of need for assistance with medical care. Gathering all necessary third party information including insurance companies, law enforcement, medical providers and others. Working closely with Records Collection Clerk or through other processes as needed to obtain client records.
Meeting with attorney re:
status (demand, treatment, negotiation, etc.) Scan all received and outgoing material, including medical records, correspondence, checks, settlement papers, and third party reports. Systematic update of Filevine database with communications on the case. Use and monitoring of Filevine checklist. Final assembly of medical records after client completes treatment. Preparation of case settlement 'demand'. Determine "Stowers" status. Determine with attorney need for 'consent to settle' in underinsured cases. Coordinate medical provider lien reductions and potential need for Stowers. Prepare distribution statement for client through Filevine "value" program. Preparation for client distribution, including settlement releases and checks. Close physical file at case conclusion with indications to FileVine system. If not settlement, assist with transfer to litigation department. Check Requisitioning - from value tab to bookkeeper Proper handling of client money questions: often defer to attorney for firm policy on amounts, timing, etc.
Requirements:
Excellent Interpersonal Skills Professional phone skills and temperament Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Reliable and trustworthy Strong organizational skills Moderate typing speed and skills required Basic grammar and letter writing acumen required Bilingual, preferred but not required (Spanish & English)

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
