Job Description
Automotive & Mechanical Technician Job Overview Barsh Auto Service is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive & Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a well-rounded technician who is confident working across a wide range of vehicles and mechanical systems, including passenger vehicles, trucks, and diesel applications. The right candidate takes pride in accurate diagnostics, quality workmanship, and a professional approach to their craft. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair automotive, truck, and light-duty diesel vehicles using modern diagnostic tools and equipment Perform mechanical repairs across engine, drivetrain, suspension, steering, brake, and electrical systems Complete routine maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards Accurately read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical service information Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and with a high level of attention to detail Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members regarding diagnostics and repair recommendations Contribute positively to shop efficiency, workflow, and overall team success Qualifications & Skills Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair experience across a variety of vehicle platforms Comfortable working on diverse equipment, including passenger vehicles, trucks, and diesel applications Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems Proficient with automotive hand and power tools Ability to read and interpret service documentation and schematics Welding or fabrication experience is a plus GM/Ford experience is beneficial but not required Professional demeanor with strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to quality workmanship and continued skill development
