Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair or replace critical components like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes (for commercial vehicles), and auto body parts as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical failures. Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle readiness for the customer's return. Experience Proven dealership experience or equivalent automotive repair background with a strong understanding of auto body repair and maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required. Familiarity with diesel engine repair, automotive electrical systems, wheel alignment, suspension work, and welding techniques is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to use automotive diagnostics software and read schematics accurately. Prior experience performing brake repairs, oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts replacement, and general vehicle maintenance tasks. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for various repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
