Apprentice Mechanic

We are seeking a motivated Mechanic Apprentice to learn and grow under the guidance of our experienced master mechanic to whom the apprentice will report. Overview As a Mechanic Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in the automotive industry under mentorship from a master mechanic with over 20 years of experience. Responsibilities Assist the master mechanic in performing repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles. Learn and develop skills in automotive systems, troubleshooting, and repair procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow safety protocols and proper use of tools and equipment. Track and report progress on assigned tasks to the supervising mechanic. Skills Mechanically inclined with prior training in automotive repair. ASE certifications or progress toward ASE certification preferred. Some prior knowledge of automotive diagnostics, brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, diesel engine repair, tire service, and electrical systems. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the team. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong work ethic with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. State inspector license preferred but not required. Ownership of complete set of tools required.

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
