Automotive Technician Employment Type:

Full-Time We are a small, growing used car dealership looking for a skilled, dependable, and energetic Auto Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing the vehicles in our inventory. There is no outside customer work , allowing you to focus on getting our vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for sale in a peaceful and professional work environment. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a variety of makes and models. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability problems. Troubleshoot vehicles and determine necessary repairs. Use diagnostic equipment, including Autel scanners , to identify and diagnose issues. Read and interpret diagnostic trouble codes and vehicle data. Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting. Diagnose and service automotive A/C and climate-control systems . Perform vehicle programming and related diagnostic procedures when required. Use precision measuring instruments, service information, and schematics when performing repairs. Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed safely and professionally. Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a small team. Qualifications Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or maintenance technician . Strong hands-on mechanical knowledge and repair skills. Experience diagnosing electrical and electronic vehicle systems. Knowledge of automotive A/C systems and diagnostics. Experience using professional scan tools, preferably Autel . Ability to read and understand diagnostic trouble codes and vehicle data. Knowledge of vehicle programming and diagnostic procedures. Ability to work on a wide range of vehicle makes and models. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable, responsible, and committed to quality work.
