ACE Solutions in Temple, TX is seeking a dependable, experienced, and versatile Mechanic to: Support the maintenance and repair of our company vehicles, equipment, and job-site assets. Primary Responsibilities The Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PMs), inspections, troubleshooting, and minor-to-moderate repairs on equipment including: Buses UTVs / Buggies Pickup trucks Passenger vehicles Generators Trailers Small engines and other job-site equipment Additional company vehicles and equipment as assigned Additional Duties Perform routine oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and scheduled maintenance Diagnose basic mechanical and electrical issues Perform brake, battery, tire, belt, hose, and other general repairs Identify equipment that requires more extensive outside repair Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs Keep company vehicles and equipment safe and operational Maintain an organized work area, tools, and parts inventory Assist with minor carpentry, fabrication, and general maintenance projects as needed Respond to equipment or vehicle issues on the job site when necessary Qualifications Previous automotive, diesel, fleet, heavy-equipment, or general mechanic experience Preferred Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and basic mechanical repairs Ability to troubleshoot multiple types of vehicles and equipment Basic carpentry and general maintenance skills preferred Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently Must possess a valid driver's license Must be comfortable working in an active construction/job-site environment Compensation Starting salary is $55,000 per year. Final compensation may be negotiable based on the candidate's skill level, experience, certifications, personal tools/equipment, and availability of a mechanic/service truck. Candidates who bring a strong mechanical background, professional-grade tools, equipment, and/or a fully equipped mechanic truck may qualify for higher compensation.
