Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Mechanic and become a vital part of delivering exceptional vehicle repair and maintenance services. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of automotive systems, ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will help keep our customers' vehicles in top condition, providing them with confidence and peace of mind. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently. Work with diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics when servicing diesel-powered vehicles or machinery. Follow dealership or industry standards for automotive service procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs, estimates, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer service experience. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including electrical systems, powertrain, transmission repairs, and suspension systems. Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and automotive diagnostics software. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus but not required. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Valid certification or license as an automotive technician or mechanic is preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
