Overview Join our dynamic Independent dealership repair team as an Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive excellence in vehicle maintenance and repair. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of vehicles, utilizing your mechanical skills to ensure safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and electrical components. Repair and replace mechanical parts such as shocks & struts, wheel alignments, tires, and auto body components to restore vehicle performance. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems. Execute oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, and suspension system repairs with attention to detail and quality standards. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmission, diesel engines, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and automotive electrical systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics. Ability to read and interpret schematics for diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle models including GM/FORD vehicles or similar brands. Experience with automotive service procedures such as oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, and tire service. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, auto estimating processes, and auto body repair is a plus. Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive attitude toward vehicle maintenance and safety standards. Valid certification in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment mechanics is advantageous; ongoing training in ADAS or other advanced systems is encouraged.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
