Walbeck Automotive Solutions took over for Poulsons Automotive, which has been in the same great location in North Salt Lake for over 20 years. While Poulsons focused on Hondas and Acuras, we are expanding to include nearly all makes and models. from 1927 to 2027. We offer one of the lowest labor rates around, to get clients coming back for more as well as keep cars on the road. We are passionate about cars, and care about keeping our clients happy and thier cars on the road as well. We also are not greedy, and want to share the wealth as much as possible, which means talented and driven individials who do quality work will make much more then they would at another smaller shop. We are a small team of less then 5 people who have decades of working in the automotive world already. We are looking for a punctual and reliable person who doesnt make excuses, and will want to come to work. You will be there 8-5, Monday through Friday - no weekends! Techs are required to have thier own tools, with our shop set being available. Techs will start out at a fixed flat rate with bonuses available, with a review for an hourly pay scale after 6 months. There are no 401k or health insurance benefits currently, but we are working on that for the end of 2026. We are drug free establishment, so drug and background checks will be required. Responsibilities Complete auto repair, from oil changes to full engine replacements. We are looking for someone who can do it all, and isn't scared to learn when they need to! Be able to work on all makes and models confidently (no EV's currently) Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including electrical, powertrain, suspension, transmission, etc Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing faulty parts, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and electrical components. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot electrical issues. Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, Tire replacements, alignments, and wheel balancing to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs with precision and safety. Collaborate with team members to complete auto estimating for repairs and ensure timely service delivery while maintaining high-quality standards. Requirements Proven service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair. Solid mechanical knowledge combined with experience working on vehicle systems such as powertrains, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension components. Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and software for accurate troubleshooting. Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics confidently. Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures including alignment, tires, welding, etc. Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with the service advisor and clients about repairs needed and completed work. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools for repairs. Experience working on diesel engines is preferred but not required; relevant certifications are a plus.
