Not looking to train someone at this time. Walbeck Automotive Solutions took over for Poulson's Automotive, which has been in the same great location in North Salt Lake for over 20 years. While Poulson's focused on Hondas and Acuras, we expanded to include nearly all makes and models, including classic cars and trucks, From 1927 to 2027. We offer one of the lowest labor rates around, that keeps clients coming back regularly to keep thier cars on the road. We are passionate about cars, and care about keeping our clients happy and also thier cars on the road as well. Why is Walbeck's different? - not people who jump around alot. You will be there 8-5, Monday through Friday
- no weekends unless you want to work them for certain clients! Pay Pay depends on experience, will be between $15
- 30 per hour to start (depending on experience), with monthly bonuses for how much you sell, and how many repeat clients you get in! The more you sell the more you will make! Time off requests are easy
- and after 3 months, paid days off start to accrue.
We are laid back, and know that there is more to life then the shop. There are no 401k or health insurance benefits currently, but we are working on that for the start of 2027. We are drug free establishment, so drug and background checks will be required. Down time can be used for personal vehicles, after the shop is clean and permission is given. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen to their concerns, and accurately identify vehicle issues. Write Repair orders and Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software and communicate options clearly to clients. Upsell additional services and maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs. Order parts when needed Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, and transmission repairs. Manage service writing tasks, including documenting repairs, ordering parts, and updating customer records. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Maintain strong client communication throughout the service process, ensuring transparency and satisfaction. Help keep the shop clean and organized in down times File and do other admin work when slow. Help create content for our Social media at the shop and at car shows, and post to our accounts (training provided) Call clients due for services to generate new appointments. Skills Proven experience in automotive service advising or customer service within an auto repair or dealership environment. Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, auto body work, and mechanical systems like air brakes, shocks & struts, transmissions, and suspensions. Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to upsell services confidently while providing honest recommendations. Experience with auto estimating, service writing, and auto service management is highly desirable.
