In this role, you will be responsible for conducting emissions testing and ensuring vehicles meet environmental standards. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting vehicle performance and safety. YOU MUST HAVE A CURRENT EMISSIONS CERTIFICATION TO BE ABLE TO PERFORM EMISSIONS TESTS

Responsibilities Perform emissions tests on a variety of vehicles, including standard passenger cars, to verify compliance with local and federal environmental regulations. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, focusing on emissions-related components and mechanical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues within automotive electrical systems, mechanical systems, and auto body components. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire changes, fluid checks, and basic repairs to support overall vehicle health. Document inspection results accurately using auto estimating software and maintain detailed records of emissions testing procedures. Support auto repair activities by diagnosing mechanical system problems and recommending appropriate repairs or replacements. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all procedures, including heavy lifting and the use of safety equipment. Qualifications Emissions Certification Utah Vallay Prior experience or mechanic background with knowledge of automotive repair, electrical systems, and mechanical systems repair. Familiarity with standard passenger car operation and automotive parts and accessories. Hands-on experience with auto body repair, auto restoration, or vehicle inspections is a plus. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for automotive service tasks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Automotive tire change experience is desirable but not mandatory. Knowledge of auto estimating software or vehicle inspection procedures is advantageous.
