Job Description
Explore the West is looking for a dependable, hands-on RV Technician to help maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our growing fleet of rvs that come in We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, pays attention to detail, and can diagnose problems and get RVs back into rental-ready condition quickly and safely. Responsibilities Inspect RVs before and after rentals Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance Diagnose and repair RV systems and equipment Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, propane, HVAC, and appliance issues Inspect and maintain generators and other RV equipment Repair or replace damaged components Identify damage caused during rentals and determine necessary repairs Perform system checks to make sure everything is functioning properly Test RV systems after repairs to ensure they are safe and working correctly Help prepare RVs for upcoming rentals Complete repairs and maintenance in a timely manner Keep track of repairs, parts, and maintenance performed on each RV Communicate larger or more complicated repair needs to management Help keep the RV fleet clean, safe, functional, and rental-ready Assist with occasional emergency or on-the-road repairs when needed Qualifications RV repair or maintenance experience preferred Automotive, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical experience is a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable working with hand and power tools Able to diagnose problems and determine the best repair Detail-oriented and safety-conscious Reliable and able to work independently Comfortable working on large motorhomes, trailers, and other RVs Valid driver's license Willingness to learn and take on new repair challenges Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is hands-on, mechanically minded, and can figure things out. We need someone who can look at an RV issue, troubleshoot the problem, and either repair it themselves or know when a specialized repair is needed. Experience with RV electrical systems, plumbing, generators, propane systems, HVAC, appliances, slide-outs, awnings, leveling systems, and general RV maintenance is highly valued. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and wants to be part of a growing RV repair business.
