What a Day Looks Like You roll into a clean, well-organized bay, open Alldata and Mitchell OnDemand to map out a drivability concern, and isolate the root cause with advanced diagnostic equipment. You collaborate with a service advisor to explain your findings, outline recommended repairs, and answer a customer's questions with confidence and clarity. You knock out complex work across multiple makes—engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, steering, HVAC—then verify results with thorough test drives and post-repair inspections. Along the way, you coach junior technicians, set the bar for safety and quality, and document every step with accurate records. Core Responsibilities Diagnose and repair complex issues across engines, transmissions, electrical, brake, steering, and HVAC systems. Leverage advanced diagnostic tools and software (e.g., Alldata, Mitchell OnDemand) to pinpoint concerns quickly and accurately. Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers regarding findings, additional work, and preventive maintenance. Mentor junior technicians and uphold top-tier quality and safety standards. Perform post-repair test drives, inspections, and quality checks. Maintain precise service and repair documentation. Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations. What You Bring 5+ years of verifiable experience as an Automotive Technician in a passenger vehicle repair shop. A complete professional-grade tool set. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Advanced skill with computerized diagnostics and technical manual interpretation.
Preferred:
Current ASE Master Technician Certification. Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to craftsmanship. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. What You'll Get Competitive compensation: $80,000-$110,000 annually, depending on experience.
