Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, and previous experience in a new car dealership service department is a plus. This role involves diagnosing complex issues, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship. Candidates familiar with diesel engines, and computer controlled engine management systems are highly preferred. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other vehicle components. Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, alignment, diesel engines, and electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently and accurately. Service vehicles by replacing or repairing parts such as transmissions, powertrain components, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical wiring. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems effectively. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies including Chrysler vehicle systems and diesel engine repair techniques. Skills Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, and diesel engines. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting complex issues. Familiarity with Chrysler vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong problem-solving skills combined with mechanical aptitude to diagnose issues efficiently. This position offers a dynamic work environment where technical skill development is encouraged with paid training provided.
