Our team manages a fast-moving vehicle inventory across multiple locations while maintaining an organized, professional, and customer-ready environment. About the role Parkline Motors is seeking a dependable Part-Time Lot Technician / Vehicle Detailer to support our Prospect Street location. This position combines vehicle transportation, lot organization, and vehicle cleaning responsibilities. You will regularly drive vehicles between the Prospect Street location and our main lot, organize inventory, and clean vehicles so they are ready for display, sale, or customer pickup. This is a hands-on position requiring safe driving, attention to detail, consistent attendance, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. What you'll do Safely transport vehicles between the Prospect Street location and Parkline Motors' main lot. Move, park, stage, and organize vehicles according to dealership needs. Maintain control of vehicle keys and follow established vehicle movement procedures. Wash and dry vehicle exteriors. Vacuum and clean vehicle interiors, including seats, dashboards, consoles, windows, mirrors, door panels, and floor mats. Remove trash, personal items, stickers, and other materials as directed. Use approved cleaning products and detailing equipment safely and correctly. Prepare vehicles for display, sale, photography, customer appointments, or pickup. Inspect vehicles before and after movement and promptly report visible damage, warning lights, mechanical concerns, missing equipment, or cleanliness issues. Keep the lot, detailing area, supplies, and equipment clean and organized. Assist with locating vehicles and staging inventory for dealership employees. Follow dealership safety procedures while driving vehicles and working around moving traffic, cleaning chemicals, hoses, and equipment. Communicate vehicle status, damage, delays, or other concerns to management. Perform other related lot, detailing, and dealership support duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid driver's license. Driving record that meets company and insurance requirements. Ability to safely operate a variety of passenger vehicles. Dependable, punctual, and able to work the established Monday-Friday schedule. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, presentable vehicles. Ability to follow instructions and established vehicle-handling procedures. Ability to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and communicate effectively with team members. Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the workday. Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation. Previous dealership, lot technician, porter, car wash, or vehicle detailing experience is preferred but not required. Experience operating manual-transmission vehicles is helpful but not required. Schedule & Work Environment This is a part-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Regular and reliable attendance during scheduled hours is an essential function of the position. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. The position requires working in changing weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow. Employees may work around moving vehicles, vehicle exhaust, cleaning chemicals, water, wet surfaces, hoses, vacuums, and detailing equipment. Appropriate footwear, clothing, and any required personal protective equipment must be worn. Employees must follow all traffic laws and company safety requirements while operating dealership vehicles. Compensation This is a non-exempt, hourly position paying $16.00 per hour . Any overtime must be approved in advance and will be paid in accordance with applicable law.
