Diagnostics & Maintenance:

Perform detailed inspections, scheduled maintenance, and skilled repairs on gas and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

System Repair:

Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical/computer systems, brakes, HVAC, fuel systems, emissions, assemblies, and perform wheel alignments.

Quality & Safety:

Conduct road tests to verify repairs, maintain accurate records of labor and parts, and adhere to workplace safety protocols.

•

Emergency Response:

Respond to field service calls for city vehicles and participate in on-call duty during emergency situations and severe weather events.

•

Equipment Setup:

Maintain seasonal equipment (e.g., snowplows, leaf collection units) and outfit public safety vehicles with emergency lighting and accessories.

•

Fleet Assessment:

Recommend repairs, structural modifications, or equipment retirement when appropriate.
