Job Description
Carter Myers Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our Virginia dealership team. In this role, you will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and complete thorough multi-point inspections. You'll use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues, follow manufacturer and ASE standards, and ensure all work is accurate and safe. Collaborating with advisors and teammates, you'll help deliver an exceptional customer experience while growing your skills in a supportive, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and tools Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid services Complete accurate multi-point inspections and document findings Repair brakes, engines, suspensions, and other key vehicle systems to manufacturer standards Follow ASE and OEM repair procedures and safety guidelines Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly use shop equipment Collaborate with service advisors to explain repair needs and timelines Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure quality of work Recommend additional services based on inspections and customer needs Participate in ongoing training to stay current with automotive technology and best practices Required Skills Automotive diagnostics Brake repair Engine repair Electrical systems troubleshooting HVAC systems service Vehicle maintenance and inspections Use of diagnostic scanners and tools Service documentation and repair orders Safety and compliance procedures Customer communication
