Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines (gasoline and diesel), transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair and replace automotive components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized heavy equipment mechanics tools. Work with modern systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and auto electrical systems to ensure vehicles meet current safety and performance standards. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently. Maintain detailed service records and communicate clearly with customers about repairs needed or completed. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical components. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics is a plus; familiarity with GM vehicles is advantageous but not required.
