Automotive & Powersports Technician New Town Automotive & Tire — Weyers Cave, VA Full-time • Pay based on experience • Mon-Fri 8:30-6, rotating Saturdays 10-5 About Us New Town Automotive & Tire is a growing independent shop in Weyers Cave serving the Shenandoah Valley. We work on just about everything our neighbors drive, ride, or tow. Cars and trucks, diesel pickups, ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, and trailers of all kinds.
We run a modern shop:
digital inspections with photos on every vehicle, Tekmetric shop management, ProDemand service info, and written procedures so techs always know how we do things. No drama, no flat-rate games. Just steady work, honest repairs, and customers who come back. Now is your opportunity to get in early on an emerging brand in both the Automotive & Powersports industry here in the Valley. The Role We're hiring a technician who's comfortable turning wrenches on more than just cars. A typical week here might include a brake job on an F-150, tires and a struts on a Camry, a no-charge diagnosis on a side-by-side, wheel bearings on a utility trailer, a lift kit on an LMM, and a battery and carb clean on a four-wheeler. SUVs:
Brakes, suspension, steering, A/C, electrical, engine repair, and maintenance services Service powersports equipment: ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and motorcycles: Tires, brakes, batteries, fluids, drivetrain, and general repair. We are also a parts distributor for multiple performance manufacturers and do build-outs for powersports equipment.
Repair trailers:
bearings and hubs, axles, brakes and brake controllers, lights and wiring, couplers, and frame hardware Mount, balance, and repair tires on everything from lawn equipment to 1-ton trucks Complete our digital 30-point inspection with photos on every vehicle you touch Document your work clearly in Tekmetric. Cause, correction, measurements, photos Road test and quality-check your own work before it leaves your bay Perform QCs on other's work, and have QCs done on yours What We're Looking For 2+ years of hands-on experience in automotive repair (professional shop, dealership, farm/fleet, or serious equivalent experience) Experience with powersports and/or trailer repair. Or the fundamentals and the willingness to learn our way fast. Your own basic hand tools (we supply shop equipment, lifts, and specialty tools) Valid driver's license with a clean enough record to drive customer vehicles Able to lift 50+ lbs, work on your feet, and handle a real shop environment Someone who measures instead of guesses, takes the photo, and writes it down. Our whole shop runs on documented findings Nice to Have (Not Required) ASE certifications (any) Virginia State Safety Inspector license, or one year of experience so we can get you licensed (we'll sponsor it) EPA Section 609 (A/C) certification. We'll pay for it if you don't have it Motorcycle endorsement Welding/fabrication skills (big plus for trailer work) Experience with Tekmetric or any digital inspection platform Pay & Benefits Weekly salary + flat rate based on experience and certifications Paid time off / paid holidays Paid training and certifications (state inspector license, EPA 609, ASE test fees on passing) Employee discount on parts, tires, and service Tool insurance while your box is in our shop Closed Sundays.
