About the Role As a Heavy Equipment Fleet Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our commercial vehicle fleet. By utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and your technical expertise, you will perform essential maintenance and repairs that keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on tractor and trailer electrical and mechanical systems using industry-standard software like JPRO and OEM diagnostic suites. Conduct thorough preventive maintenance routines to maximize fleet uptime and equipment longevity. Perform rigorous DOT inspections in strict accordance with FMCSA safety guidelines. Utilize multimeters and other precision testing equipment to isolate and resolve complex technical faults. Maintain a high standard of shop safety and organization while managing equipment repairs. Collaborate with team members to streamline maintenance workflows and improve overall shop productivity. Qualifications Required Skills Valid driver's license with a clean record. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance or a related technical degree. Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems and using Windows-based diagnostic software. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting (75+ lbs), stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces. Strong problem-solving capabilities and clear communication skills for team collaboration. Preferred Skills Possession of or ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License. Active ASE certifications or a strong desire to pursue certification with company support. Prior experience working in a fast-paced, dedicated fleet maintenance environment.
