Job Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work closely with 9 other technicians who all have commonly aligned goals towards success and customer satisfaction. We offer a flexible schedule, 4 or 5 day work weeks. We are the fastest growing dealership in the area and looking to expand even prior to the new building where we will have a brand new facility in 2 years offering 14 bays with all new equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on used vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, powertrains, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and suspension. Conduct engine repairs on both gasoline and diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely to execute repairs and maintenance tasks. Diagnose ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features and perform calibration or repairs as needed. Conduct wheel alignments and vehicle system adjustments to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction. Follow dealership procedures for vehicle maintenance, repair documentation, and quality control standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems
- Conduct inspections and identify any additional repairs or maintenance needed
- Complete auto estimating for repairs and provide accurate cost estimates to customers
- Perform tire services, including mounting, balancing, and repairing tires
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions
Experience:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Familiarity with air brake systems is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a professional manner We offer competitive pay based on experience along with benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
