Automotive Technician

Job Description

In this role, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of automotive systems with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure our customers' vehicles operate safely and reliably, while you develop your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components, including powertrain systems, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently. Complete vehicle inspections, alignments, wheel balancing, and wheel alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems. Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, estimated timelines, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety standards while managing multiple repair orders simultaneously. Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repairs. Knowledge of ADAS technologies, vehicle electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for accurate troubleshooting. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices. Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Experience in auto estimating software and familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus. Pay:
$26.00 - $31.00 per hour
