Job Description

Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic MB Motors in Bellingham is now accepting applications for a full-time Automotive Service Technician. We are looking for a skilled technician to diagnose and repair used trucks and vehicles. An excellent technician must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work with various makes and models as well as follow all safety precautions. Very competitive pay for experienced mechanic. No weekends. we have brand new shop and full brand new equipment, heated & AC shop. We are located 20mins drive north of Mt. Vernon. 700 Ohio st Bellingham

Signing Bonus of $1500 for qualified technician
Responsibilities:
Inspecting trucks and vehicles and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues Conducting repairs aiming for maximum reliability Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner Perform thorough maintenance on cars and trucks Replenish fluids and components of cars and trucks Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to vehicle users Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, ordering parts etc.) Keep logs of work and report on issues Qualifications include: Proven experience as technician Minimum of 5 years of automotive technician experience Excellent knowledge of European makes, electrical and other systems and their components Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers) and diagnostic equipment Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc. A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines Very good communication skills A problem-solving ability Very good physical strength and stamina High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus Valid certification (e.g ASE) is preferred
