Overview Sweet Dahlia Baking is looking for a dependable, organized, and friendly person to join our Bremerton team. This is a varied, hands-on position combining bakery work, food preparation, packing and organization, and customer service on our food truck . If you like a job where you're doing different things throughout the day rather than standing in one place, this could be a great fit. The day typically begins at our Bremerton bakery kitchen, where we prepare and pack everything needed for the day's food truck service. The position then includes customer service and food service on our truck during the lunch period. What You'll Do Provide friendly, welcoming customer service Take customer orders and operate the Square register Help customers with menu questions and food selections Pack and organize food, beverages, utensils, packaging, and supplies for daily service Review orders and make sure everything needed for the day is accounted for Load and unload food, supplies, and equipment Set up and break down the food truck for service Assemble and serve menu items during the lunch rush Keep the food truck stocked, clean, and organized Track supplies and communicate with the kitchen when items are needed Help with baking and basic food preparation in our bakery kitchen Assist with preparing, portioning, packaging, and labeling bakery and food items Help with dishes, cleaning, and general kitchen organization Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures Assist with end-of-day unloading, cleaning, and preparation for the next day This Job Is a Good Fit for Someone Who Is Friendly and enjoys working with customers Dependable and punctual Highly organized and detail-oriented Good at keeping track of multiple things at once Comfortable working independently after training Comfortable working as part of a small team Able to move quickly while still paying attention to details Willing to jump between customer service, food preparation, baking, packing, and cleaning Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced food truck environment Able to be on their feet for most of the shift Physical Requirements This is an active job. Daily responsibilities include packing, loading and unloading the truck, carrying food containers and supplies, bending, reaching, and being on your feet for extended periods. Applicants must be able to safely perform the physical responsibilities of the position. Requirements Clean driving record Ability to pass the background screening and badging requirements necessary to access the location where our food truck operates Reliable transportation Dependability and consistent attendance Food service, bakery, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person About Sweet Dahlia Baking Sweet Dahlia Baking is a locally owned scratch bakery and café based in Kitsap County. We make our food from scratch in our Bremerton kitchen and operate bakery/café locations as well as a weekday food truck. We are a small business, which means everyone pitches in. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing a job well, enjoys working with people, and likes being part of a busy, close-knit team.

Pay:

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 35.0 per week
