This position is primarily a Yard Technician role but also serves as a backup CDL Delivery Driver when needed. When assigned to driving duties, you will receive a driver pay differential for those hours. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner. Assist customers with loading materials or direct them to the appropriate team member. Provide outstanding service that reflects Knudson Lumber's commitment to customer satisfaction. Loading & Material Handling Safely and accurately load customer vehicles and company delivery trucks. Unload incoming materials and stock products in designated locations. Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently. Yard Operations Maintain clean, organized, and safe yard, warehouse, and storage areas. Assist with inventory organization, stocking, and cycle counts. Help ensure products are easily accessible and properly stored. Backup CDL Driver Safely operate company delivery vehicles when assigned. Deliver materials accurately and on time while providing excellent customer service. Complete required delivery paperwork and perform vehicle inspections. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies while driving. Safety Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices. Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment. Report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns promptly. Qualifications Valid driver's license required. Class A CDL with doubles endorsement (or ability to obtain) preferred. Clean driving record required for employees assigned to delivery duties. Previous lumber yard, warehouse, construction, or delivery experience is preferred but not required. Forklift experience is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to frequently lift and move heavy building materials. Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to take on a variety of responsibilities. Why Join Knudson Lumber?
