Great opportunity awaits you by joining our team as the Equipment Mechanic! Parkview Landscaping is a professionally operated full-service Landscaping Company that has been in business since 2014. We are a year-round business that prides ourselves in providing high-quality full-service landscape management, irrigation, landscape installations, lawn care maintenance, and in the winter de-icing and snow plowing.
Job Summary:
We're seeking a Mechanic that is experienced and dependable. This role is for the maintenance, repair, and logistics of our landscape equipment. It will also include basic preventative care and routine maintenance of the company trucks and trailers. Working under the guidance of the Owner, you'll also assist with mobilizing large equipment, maintaining a clean and organized yard/shop, and supporting field crews as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and repairs of landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal equipment (mowers, weedwackers, blowers, chain saws, trimmers, and other small machines) Maintenance and minor repair of vehicles (oil changes, brake changes, light repairs, replacing switches, servicing dump hydraulics, etc) Move vehicles and equipment around the shop and yard Maintain an organized, clean, and functional shop and yard Assist crews with loading/unloading equipment Deliver equipment and materials to and from job sites Follow all company safety policies and procedures Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid driver's license with a clean insurable driving record Mechanical aptitude: experience with small engine or vehicle maintenance preferred Clear communication skills in English (written and verbal). Bilingual is a plus. Ability to take direction and follow through with tasks Capable of adapting to seasonal work schedules and occasional overtime Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
