Chris's German Auto is one of those rare places where the work still feels personal. The cars are interesting. The standards are high. The details matter. Customers come here because they want the job done correctly, thoughtfully, and by people who understand that these vehicles are more than transportation. Founded by legendary Porsche expert Chris Powell and now led by professional rally driver and Porsche enthusiast Daria Bakai, Chris's German Auto blends old-school craftsmanship, motorsport roots, and modern shop systems inside a 10,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility in Redmond, WA. We're open to technicians at different stages of their career, from experienced diagnostic professionals to strong technicians who have a solid mechanical foundation and are ready to keep developing their diagnostic skills. This is not a basic maintenance only or production only environment. The work is a good fit for someone who enjoys the thinking side of automotive repair, takes the time to test properly, follows the evidence, and works toward the root cause instead of guessing or simply replacing parts. Porsche experience is a plus, but it is not required. We can teach Porsche. What matters most is European vehicle experience, strong mechanical ability, good diagnostic habits, attention to detail, and the discipline to repair vehicles correctly the first time. If you already have advanced diagnostic experience, you'll find challenging work here. If you're still building that depth, you'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians, work on interesting vehicles, and continue expanding your skills. Pay & Benefits $90,000 - $165,000 / year $40-$65/hour guaranteed, depending on experience and skill level, with additional flat-rate/performance bonus opportunities for the right candidate.
