On-site — No Remote Work About the Position Graham Trucking is seeking an experienced Trailer/Chassis Mechanic and Certified Welder/Fabricator to join our shop team in SeaTac, WA. Our truck shop performs in-house maintenance, repairs, and light fabrication for a fleet of approximately 95 trucks and more than 300 trailers and intermodal chassis . We are looking for a skilled mechanic with experience working on intermodal chassis, trailers, flatbeds, and welding/fabrication projects . We offer flexible shift options to help make commuting easier while providing a variety of work to keep the job interesting. When needed, mechanics may also perform road calls within approximately a 50-mile radius of the shop. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain intermodal chassis, trailers, flatbeds, and related equipment. Perform repairs and maintenance on brake systems, wheel ends, suspensions, air systems, and other trailer/chassis components . Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, and structural repairs as needed. Complete preventative maintenance and safety-related repairs. Respond to road calls and assist with disabled equipment within the local operating area. Accurately document repairs, parts used, labor performed, and other work completed on work orders. Inspect equipment and identify additional maintenance or repair needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Properly operate and maintain shop tools and equipment. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Communicate effectively with shop management, drivers, dispatch, and other employees. Work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented shop environment. Qualifications & Experience Previous trailer, chassis, or heavy-duty equipment repair experience required. Certified welding experience required.
Strong understanding of:
Brake systems Wheel ends Suspension systems Air systems Trailer and chassis components Welding and fabrication Intermodal chassis experience is highly preferred. Trailer, flatbed, or heavy-duty equipment repair experience is preferred. Ability to accurately complete work orders and document parts and repairs. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must provide and maintain your own required hand tools. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
