Full Job Description Overview:
Sutton Trucking LLC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Mechanic to conduct the maintenance and repair of our fleet of class 8 tractors (diesel) and pneumatic tank trailers. This is an excellent opportunity to take charge and lead a dynamic team, ensuring our fleet operates at peak efficiency. The position offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional Saturday shifts and on-call duties to keep things interesting. We prefer a mechanic that is interested to work the 2nd shift from 11am-8pm, but are open to all applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular lubrication and inspection services on tractors and trailers. Ensure all equipment complies with DOT regulations. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including light replacements. Assess, adjust, and replace brake components. Repair and replace suspension systems. Evaluate tire conditions and handle tire/wheel replacements as needed. Repair and replace pneumatic valves, hoses, and components. Engage in light fabrication tasks (Welding and fabrication skills are a plus!). Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Troubleshoot and repair A/C systems. Perform electronic troubleshooting and maintenance on Paccar, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Detroit engines. Maintain clear and concise work orders in our system to ensure efficient operations. Execute other assigned duties as needed, ensuring smooth operations.
Qualifications:
