  • Full-time Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Dismantler (Tear Down) and become a vital part of the vehicle recycling and parts recovery process!
In this role, you will be responsible for safely disassembling vehicles to recover usable parts, ensuring efficient teardown operations, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Your mechanical knowledge and attention to detail will help us maximize salvage value while adhering to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your automotive knowledge in a fast-paced, hands-on setting, contributing to sustainable vehicle reuse and environmental responsibility. Duties Safely dismantle vehicles by removing engines, transmissions, tires, body panels, and other components using air tools, hand tools and power tools. Identify and categorize salvageable parts for resale or reuse, ensuring quality standards are met. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems during tear down processes. Operate automotive lift equipment, tire changers, and other specialized tools to facilitate disassembly safely. Maintain a clean work area by organizing parts and disposing of scrap materials responsibly and in the necessary spots. Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent injuries during heavy lifting or the use of power tools. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed to support ongoing dismantling operations. Assist in the proper disposal of non-recyclable vehicle materials and fluids. Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge or experience working with automotive parts preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment confidently. Knowledge of automotive salvage techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for parts categorization. Prior mechanic experience, automotive tear down, or vehicle dismantling background is highly desirable.
