Job Description
Company Overview West Side GM is currently seeking full time, entry level Automotive Service Technicians. West Side GM is located less than 20 miles west of Oshkosh. We offer competitive compensation and paid training for the right candidates. We also guarantee 40 hours per week for the first 60 days. Job Description The ideal candidate will have the ability to work efficiently and effectively in the repair and maintenance of all makes and models of our customers vehicles. Responsibilities Perform vehicle repairs within their current capability / skill level. Clearly document and record work that is performed on the repair order under his/her supervision using laptop computer and software provided by West Side GM. Perform in depth examination of any vehicle under current supervision to determine if any safety or service work is needed or recommended. Cater to the specific needs of each repair order accurately and efficiently. This must be done within both dealership and factory requirements. Effectively communicate with the designated service manager or advisor when additional work is needed or recommended. Road test vehicles when required or refers to the test technician / service manager. Ability to perform any additional as required and assigned by the service manager. Qualifications or Requirements 0-2 years experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic A valid driver's license High school diploma / Industry certification equivalent Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in the use of common mechanic shop tools Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position Benefits Paid Holidays, Vacation and Training Health and Dental Insurance Short Term Disability and Life Insurance Flat or hourly pay plans 401(k) retirement plan Employee discounts
