Sanimax is looking for a Lead Fleet Mechanic that will play a key role in both leading and supporting a high-performing maintenance team, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our fleet—including semi tractors, trailers, and yard equipment. Competitive pay based on experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and 401(k) with a $1-for-$1 match up to 5% 3% quarterly performance bonus Join an environmentally responsible company with strong values and over 85 years of growth and stability Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of Fleet Mechanics to ensure high performance and continuous growth Perform and oversee repairs on our fleet, primarily end-dump trailers, tractors, and yard equipment Diagnose mechanical issues using modern troubleshooting and diagnostic tools Accurately complete and manage work orders in a timely manner Perform fabrication and metal work as needed to support repairs Conduct pre-inspections to ensure equipment readiness and compliance Partner closely with the Transportation team to meet operational equipment needs Execute and promote preventive maintenance programs aligned with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment Perform other related duties as required Requirements 1-2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of vehicle and heavy equipment repair and maintenance Comfortable using basic computer systems and software Valid driver's license required; Class A CDL (or willingness to obtain) is an asset Proven ability to lead by example, with strong problem-solving and communication skills Give meaning to your career and help us make a difference: become a transformation champion!
