Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and overhaul mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components with precision and efficiency. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized heavy equipment mechanics tools to execute repairs effectively. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex problems in diesel engines, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and automotive electrical systems. Ensure all repairs meet dealership or industry standards while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to enhance vehicle longevity. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, powertrain components, suspension systems, brakes, and diesel engines. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and familiarity with ADAS technology is highly desirable. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools. Knowledge of auto body repair techniques and auto estimating is a plus. Valid certification or license as an automotive mechanic; ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair solutions. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
