Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs to ensure safety and performance standards are met. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently. Repair diesel engines and perform welding or other fabrication tasks as needed for vehicle repairs. Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete repairs with precision while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction during each interaction. Skills Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair. Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams, schematics, and understanding vehicle systems including ADAS technology. Extensive mechanical knowledge across various vehicle components such as transmissions, powertrains, vehicle suspension systems, and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostic tools and auto estimating software to streamline repair processes. Skilled in vehicle transmission system repair, vehicle suspension system repair, alignment procedures, and diesel engine repair. Ability to operate welding equipment safely and effectively; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus but not required. Strong technical proficiency with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams interpretation, and maintenance procedures. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication to ensure clear understanding of repairs needed. Experience working with power tools and maintaining a high standard of safety in all repair activities.
