Job Description

Highly Experienced Mobile Fleet Mechanic Ace Deliveries, Inc. - FedEx Ground Contractor Ace Deliveries, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Mobile Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of 40+ commercial delivery vehicles operating between Superior, WI and the entire Iron Range of Minnesota. We also have a shop in Virginia, MN for larger projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic who takes pride in quality work, can diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently, and enjoys working independently.

Step Vans Freightliner Step Vans Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, routine servicing, and manufacturer-recommended maintenance on all fleet vehicles. Diagnose and repair all major vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, drivetrains, electrical systems, wiring, suspension, steering, brakes, cooling systems, fuel systems, HVAC, exhaust, and more. Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using modern diagnostic equipment and repair procedures. Perform engine, transmission, differential, suspension, brake, and steering component replacements and rebuilds as needed. Complete DOT inspections, safety inspections, and identify potential maintenance concerns before they become costly failures. Respond to roadside breakdowns and perform mobile repairs to return vehicles to service whenever possible. Determine when repairs can be completed in the field versus when vehicles should be transported to our Virginia, MN maintenance shop , which is fully equipped to handle major repairs requiring multiple days or specialized equipment. Coordinate parts ordering, maintain an organized inventory of commonly used parts and supplies, and communicate repair timelines with management. Maintain accurate maintenance records and document all repairs performed. Help develop preventative maintenance schedules and recommendations to maximize fleet reliability and minimize downtime. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment while ensuring all repairs meet DOT and manufacturer standards.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience maintaining commercial fleet vehicles Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience with both gas and diesel vehicles preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Compensation & Benefits:
