Role:

Are you a skilled technician who loves variety? Rapid Rental, LLC is looking for a versatile Diesel Fleet Mechanic with a CDL to join our team. In this role, you will maintain a highly diverse fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. Additionally, you will leverage your commercial driver's license to step out of the shop and handle local, short-haul driving assignments (as needed) for our sister companies, A-Line Roll-Off and Stocor . What You Will Do:

Fleet Maintenance:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of commercial diesel trucks, focusing heavily on Freightliner and Western Star models.

Trailers & Hydraulics:

Service complex hydraulic trailers and crane trailers , ensuring all specialized components operate safely and efficiently.

Heavy Equipment Repair:

Perform preventative maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on a wide array of rental equipment, including bulldozers, payloaders, telehandlers, and forklifts .

Short-Haul Driving:

Step into the cab to fill in driving hours as needed, performing local short hauls to support operations for A-Line Roll-Off and Stocor .

Safety Compliance:

Maintain meticulous digital repair logs and ensure all fleet vehicles comply with DOT and OSHA safety regulations.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:

3+ years of professional experience working on heavy-duty diesel trucks and hydraulic systems. Experience with heavy construction equipment is a major plus.

License:

A valid Class A CDL (highly preferred) or Class B CDL with a clean driving record and a current DOT medical card.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in advanced electrical diagnostics, hydraulic systems troubleshooting, and air brake repairs.

Tools:

Ownership of a standard set of mechanics' tools (specialized shop tools are provided, and soon to have diagnostic software available).

Mindset:

A problem solver who can easily transition from a complex diagnostic repair in the shop to a short-haul delivery run on the road. Pay:

$27.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 37.0 per week
