Z-Force Transportation is looking for an experienced Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team in the Morgantown, West Virginia area . This is an all-around fleet maintenance position working on Class 8 tractors and heavy-duty trailers. The position primarily focuses on preventative maintenance, daily repairs, and correcting issues identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) . This is not a major engine overhaul position . We are looking for a well-rounded technician who can handle the everyday mechanical repairs necessary to keep our trucks and trailers safe and operational.

Schedule Monday-Friday:

7:00 AM-5:00

PM Every Other Saturday:

7:00 AM-12:00 PM Full-time, year-round position Consistent schedule and steady fleet maintenance work Pay & Benefits Starting at $25.00 per hour 100% company-paid health insurance for the employee Year-round employment Consistent full-time hours 401(k) Paid time off Stable fleet maintenance environment Responsibilities Review and complete daily truck and trailer DVIR repairs Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections Diagnose and repair air brake systems Perform brake repairs and adjustments Diagnose and repair truck and trailer suspension components Troubleshoot and repair lighting and electrical issues Repair air lines, valves, fittings, and other air system components Perform tire and wheel-related repairs Inspect and repair wheel-end components Complete repairs on both Class 8 tractors and heavy-duty trailers Repair trailer components including landing gear, doors, hinges, latches, and related hardware Identify additional mechanical and safety concerns during inspections Complete repair tickets and accurately document work performed Perform other truck and trailer maintenance duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience working on Class 8 trucks and/or heavy-duty trailers Working knowledge of air brakes, suspension, electrical/lighting, tires, wheel ends, and air systems Experience completing DVIR and DOT-related repairs Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently Comfortable working on both tractors and trailers Valid driver's license required Must have own basic hand tools Welding experience is a plus Strong attendance and dependability What We're Looking For We're looking for a well-rounded fleet mechanic who can take a repair issue from diagnosis through completion. The majority of the work involves everyday fleet repairs—DVIR items, brakes, suspension, air systems, lighting, tires, wheel ends, and other truck and trailer components. Major engine rebuilds and heavy internal engine work are not the primary responsibility of this position.
