Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional automotive service to our customers, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to keep vehicles running smoothly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse vehicle systems, including diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, and electrical components, in a fast-paced environment that values quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines (gasoline and diesel), transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs efficiently. Follow dealership or shop procedures for auto body repairs, auto estimating, and heavy equipment mechanics when necessary. Read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals to perform precise repairs on mechanical systems. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and ensure all work adheres to safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and offering professional advice on vehicle maintenance. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive mechanic in a dealership or automotive repair industry setting. Strong background in automotive diagnostics with familiarity in dealing with complex mechanical systems. Hands-on experience repairing diesel engines, transmissions (including powertrain), suspension systems, brakes, and electrical components. Knowledge of ADAS technology, air brake systems (for commercial vehicles), auto body repair processes, and auto estimating is preferred. Familiarity with schematics reading, welding techniques, heavy equipment mechanics, GM vehicles (or similar brands), and oil change procedures is advantageous. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively. Prior experience working with tire service, shocks & struts replacement, alignment procedures, and vehicle maintenance tasks is highly valued.
