Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Side-by-Side Mechanic to join our team in the Jackson, Wyoming area. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of UTVs, side-by-sides, trailers, and support vehicles to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and ready for daily tours and rentals. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced outdoor recreation environment. Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on side-by-sides, UTVs, trailers, and support vehicles. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, fuel system, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and brake issues. Complete scheduled maintenance including oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, belt replacements, brake service, tire repairs, and battery maintenance. Repair and replace damaged components resulting from normal wear, off-road use, or customer incidents. Inspect vehicles before and after tours and rentals to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns. Maintain accurate service records and track repairs, parts usage, and maintenance schedules. Coordinate with operations staff and guides to ensure vehicles are tour-ready and available for daily operations. Order, organize, and maintain inventory of parts, tools, and shop supplies. Test and evaluate vehicles following repairs to ensure proper performance and safety. Assist with field repairs and emergency maintenance when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety procedures. Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a mechanic, powersports technician, ATV/UTV technician, automotive technician, diesel mechanic, or related role preferred. Strong knowledge of engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, brakes, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnostics. Experience working on Polaris, Can-Am, Yamaha, Kawasaki, or similar off-road vehicles is highly desirable. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately. Experience using diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. Welding, fabrication, and trailer repair experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license required; ability to safely operate UTVs, trucks, and trailers. Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Work Environment This position is based in the Jackson, Wyoming area, with travel required to our operations in Moran and Alpine, Wyoming. The mechanic will work both in a shop setting and in the field, performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs as needed. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and responding to maintenance needs at remote locations when necessary. Why Join Our Team?
