Responsibilities Perform tire services such as mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair to ensure optimal vehicle handling and safety. Conduct oil changes and replace automotive fluids including coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and power steering fluid. Assist with basic vehicle maintenance tasks like replacing filters, wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs. Diagnose minor mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks. Conduct wheel alignments to improve vehicle stability and tire longevity. Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance needs when appropriate. Requirements Prior dealership or automotive service experience is highly preferred. Hands-on mechanic experience with standard passenger cars and light trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive diagnostics. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment. Experience with automotive fluid replacement procedures including oil changes. Ability to lift heavy tires or vehicle parts safely during service procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward teamwork and client interaction. Knowledge of tire service procedures such as mounting, balancing, rotation, and repair.
