Job Title:
Structures Technician (Traveling CONUS) Job Description Performing structural modifications on military aircraft. Pay Rates $35/h - $39/h Additionally, you will receive Per Diem Lodging Provided Estimated 10 - 20 hours of OT Weekly (1.5 hourly rate) Responsibilities Assemble and install structural parts, assemblies, and modifications in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine repair and installation requirements. Use precision measuring instruments to assess parts for defects, deviations, and alignment to ensure structural integrity. Document all maintenance, repair, and modification work performed in accordance with regulatory and company requirements. Ensure all work complies with applicable safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices. Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment to meet maintenance schedules and project timelines. Essential Skills Certification or formal training in Aircraft Structural Maintenance or a closely related field. 4+ years of experience working with aircraft structures, including airframes and structural components. Proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment for aircraft structural repair and maintenance. Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as they relate to aircraft structures and installations. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Demonstrated experience in structural repair, including sheet metal work and riveting. Experience performing aircraft modifications and structural installations. Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Helicopter structural experience preferred but not required. Experience with aircraft modification projects, including structural changes and installations. Familiarity with aircraft hangar operations and ground support equipment. Strong communication skills to clearly document work performed and coordinate with maintenance teams. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in maintenance practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $39.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
