Job Description The Aircraft Avionics / Electrical Technician will support the Beale AFB MOD Team - Avionics Tech Refresh program. The technician will perform installation, repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, and modification of aircraft electrical and avionics systems. Key Responsibilities Terminate, route, and build electrical connectors, including Cannon plugs. Repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. Cut, thread, bend, couple, and secure conduit. Cut and install wire and conduit to required lengths. Install, repair, or replace switch boxes, lights, plugs, sockets, fuses, and related electrical components. Disassemble motors, generators, and other equipment for repair. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and inspect circuits, wiring, shielding, and grounding. Test electrical equipment for safety, functionality, and efficiency. Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, and technical specifications. Use electrical hand tools and voltage/amperage measuring and recording equipment. Required Qualifications Previous military experience preferred; USAF 7-Level or equivalent Journeyman-level experience required. 2-4 years of MOD (Modification) experience. Experience with aircraft avionics or electrical systems. Experience terminating, routing, and building aircraft electrical connectors. Fighter aircraft experience is a plus. BI03
