Team:
The Avionics team is responsible for the full lifecycle of Terran R's nervous system, designing, building, testing, installing, and operating the hardware that connects and controls every major electrical system on the vehicle and ground. The team's structure intentionally combines avionics design, manufacturing, and test to enable rapid iteration and feedback loops. Engineers are deeply embedded into other functions within Relativity, working closely with propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and operation. Role:
Take ownership of assembling and routing high-reliability wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for Terran R Support the development of junior technicians through on-the-job training, best practices, and workmanship standards Collaborate closely with the engineering, specialists, and quality team to ensure all components meet strict quality control standards Advocate for new tools and improvements aimed towards improving production efficiency About you: 2+ years of hands-on experience as a harnessing technician specializing in application-critical, high-complexity wiring systems Experience conducting inspections, continuity checks, and hipot tests to ensure the integrity and functionality of wire harness assemblies Ability to read, interpret, and execute on work instructions Experience performing rework and repairs on wire harnesses, including cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and connectorization Ability to communicate constructive feedback on processes to manufacturing engineering Nice to haves but not required: Current or previous certification in IPC-A-620 or similar industry standards, reflecting advanced wiring or interconnect skills and commitment to quality Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and the ability to implement process improvements that drive cost savings and efficiency gains Previous involvement in new technology onboarding and integration We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
