Job Summary
Looking for avionics technician with an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)
Must be a highly skilled professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all of an aircraft's electrical, electronic, and structural components. This combined role requires a comprehensive understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems to ensure the aircraft is safe and compliant with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Avionics System Maintenance
Install and upgrade systems: Installs and configures complex avionics systems, including navigation, communication, radar, and autopilot equipment, in accordance with manufacturer and FAA guidelines.
Troubleshoot and repair: Diagnoses and resolves malfunctions in electronic components and wiring using specialized tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and test benches.
Interpret technical data: Reads and interprets complex wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide installations and repairs.
Calibrate and test: Calibrates and performs functional tests on electronic instruments to ensure they meet precise specifications before flight. Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance
Perform inspections: Conducts routine and in-depth inspections of the aircraft's airframe (wings, fuselage, landing gear) and powerplant (engines, propellers) to identify and correct any defects or wear.
Repair and replace parts: Repairs or replaces defective parts in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using hand and power tools.
Perform structural repairs: Checks for corrosion and cracks and performs structural repairs on an aircraft's skin and frame.
Service aircraft systems: Carries out basic aircraft servicing, such as fueling, oil changes, and checking tire pressure.
