Job Title:

DHC-8 Avionics Technician Job Description We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician Level 3 to support the drawdown of the DHC-8 program by handling necessary maintenance before the aircraft goes to auction. This is a contract assignment with the potential for long term employment on this or other programs with our client. Pay Rate /

Benefits Breakdown :
Straight Time Pay:

$38.39 an hour

Overtime Pay:

$57.59 an hour

Fringe Pay:

$5.09 an hour (guaranteed 40 hours per week regardless of hours worked)

Per Diem Pay:

$800.00 a week (guaranteed every week regardless of hours work)

PTO:

Up to 2 Weeks, accrual starts Day 1, eligible for us after 1 year Responsibilities Inspect components of avionics equipment for defects, such as loose connections and frayed wires, and ensure accuracy of assembly and installation. Test avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and counters, and circuit analyzers. Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools. Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications. Accompany flight crew to perform in-flight adjustments and determine and record required post-flight repair work. Comply with required maintenance such as 91.411 and 91.413 inspections. Operate the ground station for air-to-station checks of radar or other equipment. Fabricate wiring harnesses. Comply with avionics upgrades and modifications. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience with DHC-8 (Dash 8) or Q400 aircraft electronics installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Knowledge of avionics systems and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to work from blueprint drawings, diagrams, specifications, service manuals, sketches, templates, and other incomplete data. Experience in Aircraft Phase Maintenance / Aircraft Heavy Maintenance Required Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one. High School diploma or equivalent Why Work Here? The role is based on site, providing hands-on experience in maintaining and upgrading avionics systems. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Patrick Space Force Base, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.48 - $43.48/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
