  • Competitive base salary with potential to earn 40% or more with deployment Using a variety of test equipment performs efficient maintenance, inspection, installation, modification, and repair of all electrical and avionics systems utilized on assigned aircraft.
Troubleshoots and tests standard avionic and electrical systems under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness. Applies technical knowledge to solve basic problems in interpreting manufactures' manuals, operators' handbooks, or other similar documents.
Essential Duties:
Inspect, adjust, and repair basic avionics and electrical and electronic systems, such as radar, Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS), Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), Flight Management System (FMS), autopilot, and any special mission equipment utilized on assigned aircraft in accordance with technical manuals, FAA approved methods, techniques, and practices. May assist with maintaining the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations. Employ technical knowledge to solve basic problems by interpreting technical documentation such as manufacture's manuals, blueprints, Instruction for Continued Airworthiness (ICA's), Minimum Equipment List (MEL), and FAA regulations to return the aircraft to an airworthy condition. Adhere to safety manuals (including hazardous materials program), policy and procedures manuals, General Operations Manual (GOM), and Repair Station Manuals (RSM). Utilize technical knowledge of avionics and electrical and electronic systems in determining equipment malfunctions and apply the required expertise in restoring equipment condition and/or operation. Remove and replace components and perform functional checks of these components. Inventory, maintain, and order aircraft equipment and supplies, as directed by a supervisor or manager in order to maintain aircraft and aircraft Avionics equipment. Assist with pre and post flight inspections and ground handling (jacking, towing, refuel, defuel, etc…) of aircraft. Inspect and operate powered and non-powered ground support equipment, ensuring equipment is serviced in accordance with manufacture guidelines. Maintain, repair, install, and troubleshoot various types of avionic, electrical, and electronic systems and equipment and related devices using common and specialized test equipment. Perform inspections on installed avionic, electrical, and electronic systems utilizing approved work cards. Advise department management of any issues, delays, and/or schedule interruptions. Perform basic service bulletins and airworthiness directives, with assistance. Ensure proper documentation of maintenance actives. Ensure all tools and test equipment are accounted for at the end of each task and each shift or day. Ensure work area is clean, safe, and orderly at all times, inclusive of work area and hangar as required. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and/or participating in professional societies.
