Less than 10% Keep Business Aircraft Connected, Compliant, and Mission Ready Toledo Jet is seeking a skilled and motivated Avionics Technician to join our Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE) team. This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, testing, and maintaining aircraft avionics and electrical systems on corporate and turbine aircraft. The successful candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals, and a commitment to safe, high-quality work in accordance with FAA requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and Toledo Jet procedures. What You'll Do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on aircraft avionics and electrical discrepancies.
• Diagnose discrepancies involving communication, navigation, flight management, autopilot, transponder, ADS-B, radar, and related avionics systems.
• Perform avionics installations, modifications, upgrades, and system integrations.
• Conduct functional testing and operational checks following maintenance and installations.
• Perform pitot-static and RVSM-related testing and troubleshooting when applicable.
• Use IFR6000 and other applicable avionics test equipment.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering drawings, installation instructions, and aircraft maintenance manuals.
• Fabricate and repair aircraft wiring and electrical components as required.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, Toledo Jet Repair Station procedures, Operations Specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and approved technical data.
• Accurately document maintenance actions, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
• Assist with AOG troubleshooting and support as operationally needed.
• Provide technical assistance and OJT support to other avionics technicians when appropriate.
• Maintain safe work practices, environmental compliance, proper housekeeping, and an organized work environment. Qualifications Required
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft avionics installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience.
• Demonstrated avionics troubleshooting, repair, installation, and wiring skills.
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
• Experience using avionics test equipment and troubleshooting tools, including IFR6000 or comparable equipment.
• Working knowledge of pitot-static systems, RVSM requirements, and associated avionics testing.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of FAA regulations applicable to aircraft avionics maintenance and repair.
• Ability to accurately complete maintenance records and related technical documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred
• 5+ years of aircraft avionics experience.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
• FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL).
• NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification or comparable avionics credential.
• FAA Repairman Certificate, where applicable.
• Manufacturer or OEM factory training on relevant avionics systems.
• Experience with Garmin, Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, Universal, Genesys, or comparable avionics systems.
• Experience with ADS-B, WAAS, FMS, TCAS, SATCOM, connectivity, and cockpit/flight-deck modernization programs.
• Experience working on corporate/business aircraft, including Citation, Hawker, Learjet, King Air, Falcon, Bombardier/Challenger, and comparable turbine aircraft.
• Previous FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience.
• Experience supporting AOG avionics troubleshooting.
• Detailed working knowledge of Corridor or comparable work-order/maintenance tracking software. Compensation & Benefits
